Used
These containers have weathered 5–15 years of international service. You’ll see original paint, markings, surface rust, dents, and scratches, but they remain structurally sound for storage or non-critical uses.
One-Trip
A One-Trip container has completed just one ocean voyage. It arrives in near-new condition with only minor handling marks, offering reliable durability at a reduced cost compared to brand-new units.
Refurbished
Refurbished containers start as wind- and water-tight units and are upgraded to extend their lifespan:
- Typical Refurbishment: Exterior is cleaned of loose rust, spot-primed, and fully repainted (including the roof).
- Complete Refurbishment: All exterior work plus a fresh coat of interior paint.
- Factory Refurbishment: Full overhaul with new interior and exterior paint, replaced gaskets, and updated markings.
Container Grades
Wind and Water Tight (WWT)
Guaranteed not to leak or admit drafts, WWT units may show surface rust, dents, and patches. They’re ideal for secure on-site storage but not certified for export.
Cargo Worthy (CW)
These containers have passed a structural survey and display a valid CSC inspection sticker, certifying them safe for international transport. They may retain original paint, minor wear, and markings.
IICL-Certified (IICL-6)
Meeting the rigorous standards of the Institute of International Container Lessors, IICL-6 units offer superior condition and higher resale value, making them suitable for critical applications and repeated export use.
As Is
As Is containers are those too damaged to warrant watertight repair. They may have holes, broken flooring, or structural issues and are best suited for temporary or non-sensitive storage where full integrity isn’t required.
